Primary Conveyor Belt Cleaners

Primary Conveyor Belt Cleaning System

Our primary conveyor belt cleaners are designed to wipe off extra material on a conveyor belt at the head pulley area. They are situated at the discharge point. They stop the material carryback, making the conveyor systems more effective. These cleaners contribute towards maintaining material handling operations by reducing direct interaction with dirt on the belt, reducing the frequency of maintenance activities, and increasing the belt and other associated parts service

Primary Conveyor Belt Cleaning System

Types of primary belt cleaners

EZP1 Belt Cleaner

Overview
This type is a simple and affordable solution for low to medium use
Features
A single-blade construction makes the product selection, installation and servicing relatively easy. It is particularly appropriate if the available space inside the system is small.
Applications
Recommended for conveyors with low to moderate material throughput, as seen in the light industrial and food industries
Benefits
Cheap, easy to identify and replace some spare parts and require little maintenance compared to other types

Heavy Duty Pre-Cleaner (MHP)

Overview
Intended for professional use, the MHP cleaner has increased capabilities compared to typical machines
Features
Usually employs a chopping tool manufactured using rigid materials such as tungsten carbide to increase durability and efficiency in cleaning under challenging circumstances
Applications
Suitable for applications like mining, aggregate and bulk materials that experience high throughput and work with abrasive materials
Benefits
Long tool life, optimum material removal rate in different conditions and minimal material that has to be carried back

Extreme Duty Pre-Cleaner (MXP)

Overview
MXP cleaner is designed for a rigorous work environment to ensure that it can meet different rugged working environments
Features
This tool has a contrast-hardened blade made of high-carbon steel combined with reinforced parts for additional blade strength and resilience for handling high impact, heavy abrasion, and extreme material loads
Applications
Exemplary for the coal mining industry, steel mills, cement plants, and other cement industries where conveyors come across severe material and demanding operating conditions
Benefits
Enhanced cleaning performance, increased conveyor life span and minimum wear on conveyor parts

Heavy Duty Pre-Cleaner (MHP)

Overview
The H-Type cleaner is a multi-purpose cleaner with a highly efficient and functional design appropriate for middle to strong utilization
Features
The line is equipped with a novel design of blade placement and utilizes high-strength materials, thus properly cleaning the belt conveyor while being compact
Applications
These are typically seen in industries that require the handling of moist, sticky, or tricky materials, including food processing, aggregate, and recycling industries
Benefits
The belt enclosure is excellent; it provides good cleaning action for sticky or wet material, and the blade is easy to replace

Features and Benefits

01

Efficient Material Removal

It is especially suitable for cleaning bulk material to avoid accumulation and carryback.

02

Durable Construction

Constructions made from long-wearing materials, including polyurethane or tungsten carbide, can be used for a long duration

03

Easy Installation

Intended to be easily installed as quickly and simply as possible without introducing downtime

04

Improved Conveyor Performance

Assists in keeping belt and pulleys free from slipping troubles, thus reducing friction on the material

05

Low Maintenance

Little maintenance is needed at all or for minor amounts, making operational costs cheaper in the long run

How do primary conveyor belt cleaners work?

Primary belt cleaners are installed in contact with the conveyor belt at the discharge area or immediately after the head pulley only. Their primary purpose is to remove more material from the belt surface, which may be carried along the backside. The cleaner uses a blade mainly made of polyurethane or tungsten carbide and is always in contact with the belt.
When passing around the head pulley, the primary cleaner applies force to the surface of the belt. It removes sticky, delicate as well as bulk materials. Of greater importance is the cleaner’s positioning; it has to be positioned whereby the majority of cleaners contact the peel just before the belt starts returning. Thus, the tackiness will force most of the debris to be cleaned off before a build-up occurs. This inhibits aggregation of material in the system, enhances the conveyor system’s effectiveness, and reduces the wear of the other parts.
